NEW HAVEN, CT—NJIT women's tennis recorded two wins on day two at the ITA Regional Championships hosted by Yale Friday afternoon.
 
Highlander pair Holly Matson and Rafaella Sampaio combined for an 8-3 win against Niagara's Som and Gamble.
 
NJIT duo Mayar Eltony and Joleta Budiman recorded an 8-7 (7-5) victory over Army's Inchauste and Boubel.
 
Budiman battled out a three-set tilt against Penn's Mimi Levin.  Levin took the first set, 6-4, with Budiman answering with a 6-1 victory in the second frame.  Levin secured the match with a 10-8 victory in the third frame.
 
Action will continue on Saturday.
