NJIT men's lacrosse hosts UMass Lowell for their final game of 2017 at Drew University's Ranger Stadium for a 12pm face-off.

Prior to the game there will be a senior day ceremony honoring the Highlanders two seniors Ryan Callaghan and Jordan Rosal.

In the last game for both teams, both teams will look to end their seasons on a win, with NJIT trying to have their first two win season.

For the second consecutive year the Highlanders call Ranger Stadium home while construction continues on the new Wellness and Events Center at NJIT's campus.

ALL TIME SERIES
UMass Lowell leads the series 2-0.

The River Hawks defeated the Highlanders 9-7 back in 2015, NJIT first year as a varsity sport.

In 2016, UMass Lowell won 7-6 in overtime in both teams final game of the season.

The Highlanders took a 6-4 lead into halftime, but were unable to score for the rest of the game.

Ryan Callaghan notched two goals while Matt Brown Jacob Sieber and Aaron Forster each tallied a goal for NJIT.

River Hawk Jon Phillips had three points on a goal and two assists leading his team, while Matthew Balter added two goals of his own.

Nick Marzullo made a program record 17 saves in the Highlanders loss and Grant Lardieri grabbed 11 for UMass Lowell.

A LOOK AT THE RIVER HAWKS
UMass Lowell (3-12) fell to America East opponent Stony Brook 12-11 in overtime on April 21.

The River Hawks are 1-5 in conference play, with their one win coming against reigning champion Harford 12-11.

Eight River Hawks post double-digit points.

Sean Tyrrell leads the team with 37 points on 16 goals and 21 assists, while Jon Phillips is behind him with 31 points with a team-leading 23 goals and eight assists.

Austin Lane and Keenan Koswin are the only others with over 15 points, each with 27 Lane has 21 goals and six assists and Koswin with 14 goals and 13 assists.

Will Puduski leads the team in ground balls with 59 and caused turnovers with 27.

Brett Dattilo is right behind with 56 ground balls and a .434 win percentage on the face-off circle.

Grant Lardieri has started in all 15 games for UMass Lowell, earning 156 saves and a .494 save percentage.

A LOOK AT THE HIGHLANDERS
The Highlanders (1-13) fell to Manhattan 9-4 on April 22 at the Jaspers home Gaelic Park.

In 2017 NJIT has broken four program records this season, including goals in a game (17), assists in a game (14), points in a game (31), face-offs won (19), including 11 individual NJIT records.

Aaron Forster broke eight NJIT records so far this season and holds nine total. The sophomore hold records in career goals (48), goals in a season (33), goals in a game (5), career assists (22), assists in a season (13, 2016), assists in a game (5), career points (70), points in a season (42) and points in a game 9, 4g, 5a) with only UMass Lowell remaining.

Forster not only leads the Highlanders in goals and points, but he ranks tied for ninth in the nation in man-up goals this with six and tied for 29th in goals per game with an average of 3.26.

The Highlanders three Ryan's, Ryan Callaghan, Ryan Darrow, and Ryan Kaden combine for 40 goals and 26 assists between them.

Senior Callaghan has 19 goals and a team-leading 11 assists for 30 points, and has a 17 game point streak that started on April 2, 2016. If Callaghan tallies a point against UMass Lowell, he will tie the NJIT record for consecutive point streak with 18.

Darrow is third on the team in goals (12) and assists (7) while freshman Kaden tallied nine goals and eight assists.

Matt Brown also posts double-digit points with six goals and six assists.

Freshman John Tachon is the team leader in ground balls with 66 and caused turnovers with 17. The defenseman broke the NJIT record for caused turnovers in a season notching his 15th against Lafayette and then broke the record for ground balls in a season grabbing his 66th against Manhattan.

Tyler Stevenson broke the NJIT record for race-off wins in a game, winning 17-of-20 face-off's at Hampton. The sophomore boasts a 73-179 record equaling a .408 win percentage.

Captain Nick Marzullo earned nine starts for the Highlanders and has 107 saves on the year with a .527 save percentage. Cameron Cronk has five starts, appearing in nine games with 69 stops and posting a .469 save percentage.
