NEWARK, NJ—NJIT men's basketball senior
Tim Coleman has been invited to the Fourth Annual Gotham Hoops Invitational, which showcases top men's college seniors on April 22, 2017 at 3:30pm.
This year's Gotham Hoops Invitational, an event that showcases 36 top men's college seniors to talent evaluators representing professional teams that compete in leagues throughout the globe, will take place at Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, NY on April 22, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Since launching in 2014, the Invitational has produced over 70 pros throughout 50 leagues and 30 countries with alumni having gone on to compete in the NBA's Summer League and Development League as well as EuroLeague and top divisions throughout Europe and Asia.
Coleman, the Highlanders senior guard, was the only active Division I player this season with at least 1,400 points, 750 rebounds, 225 assists, 150 steals and 135 blocks (only one other player in the nation with four of the five categories; Josh Hart; Villanova).
He became NJIT's all-time rebounding leader on December 14, 2016, surpassing the mark of 616 by
Isaiah Wilkerson (Class of 2012), finishing with 762 rebounds.
Coleman finished with 1,439 career points, which ranks fourth all-time at NJIT and 96
th among Division I leaders, 762 rebounds (41
st) among D1 leaders and became the sixth member of NJIT's Division I 1,000 point club vs. Army on March 16, 2016 and 28
th all-time at NJIT.
In ASUN action, Coleman was the only player ranked in the top-20 in five major categories and ranking third with six double-doubles.
In the last six games of the regular season, he averaged 16.0 ppg (60) and 6.8 rpg (34) on 30-58 FG.
