NJIT men's lacrosse travels to Hampton Saturday for a 12pm game against the Pirates at Armstrong Stadium.

ALL TIME SERIES
This will be the first match-up between NJIT (0-12) and Hampton (1-6). The Highlanders are looking for their first win of 2017, while the Pirates look to snap their four game losing streak and end their season on a win.

A LOOK AT THE PIRATES
The Pirates, like the Highlanders, are a newer varsity program and are in their second year as a Division I program.
Head coach Lloyd Carter enters his second season as Hampton's first lacrosse coach in Hampton history, after heading the intramural program that he co-founded four years prior.
Three Pirates have nine goals each on the year with John Tarver, Kendall Sapp and Kier Johnson. Tarver leads the team in points with 16 on his nine goals and seven assists. Sapp tallies 11 points on nine goals and two assists along with Lemuel Randolph who has six goals and five assists. Johnson has 10 points with his nine goals and one assist
Andrew Gray has a team-high 12 ground balls closely followed by Jacob Woodard and Aaron Brown who each have 11 and Baron Edmonson leads the team in caused turnovers with eight.
On the face-off circle Auston Jones is 20-for-63 while Aaron Brown is 40-for-88.
In goal Joshua Tarver and Kevin Mondy Jr have each seen time in goal in four games this season. Joshua Tarver, the twin brother of John Tarver, has four starts with 55 saves and .611 save percentage while Mondy Jr has three starts with 37 saves and a .435 save percentage.

A LOOK AT THE HIGHLANDERS
Coming off one of their best games of the season, a 12-11 loss to Lafayette on Tuesday, the Highlanders have three games remaining in the season.
In the loss to Lafayette, NJIT broke their record for goals in a game scoring 11. The Highlanders have scored 10 goals in three previous games, twice last season and once in 2015 their first year as a varsity program.
At Lafayette the Highlanders also notched season-highs in assists in a game (5), points in a game (16), shots (29) and face-offs won (11).
Aaron Forster leads the team in goals (28) and points (32). In 2017 Forster broke five NJIT records. The sophomore sits atop the NJIT rankings in career assists (17), career goals (43), career points (60), goals in a game (5) and holds the record for goals in a season.
Forster also has six man-up goals this season, ranking him tied for second in the nation in man-up goals.
The Ryan triple threat of Ryan Callaghan, Ryan Darrow and Ryan Kaden combine for 33 goals and 19 assists between them.
Callaghan has 15 goals and six assists for 21 points and has a 15 game point streak happening that started on April 2, 2016. The senior has scored at least one goal or registered one point in the last 15 games, and will tie Joe Lomeli's point's streak record of 18 if he records a point in the rest of the games in 2017.
Darrow posted a personal-best four points in the loss at Lafayette on two goals and two assists. The sophomore has 17 points on the year with 11 goals and six assists.
Freshman Kaden leads the team in assists with seven, and has seven goals on the year so far.
