NJIT men's lacrosse hosts Mercer Friday night for a 7pm game at Drew University's Ranger Stadium.
For the second consecutive year the Highlanders call Ranger Stadium home while construction continues on the new Wellness and Events Center at NJIT's campus.

Friday's game is the first meeting between the two teams.
The Highlanders (0-5) will look for their first win of 2017, while the Bears (1-3) will try to snap a two game losing streak.
A LOOK AT BEARS
Mercer was picked to finish fifth in the Southern Conference during the 2016 Men's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches poll.
The bears as a team rank third in NCAA Division I in caused turnovers per game, collecting 42 in four games and a 10.50 caused turnovers per game average.
Leading Mercer is Jake Nelson, who has six goals and three assists for a team-leading nine points. Nelson was recently named SoCon Offensive Player of the Week on February 21 for breaking two career records – a career-high four goals in the Bear's 10-8 win over Detroit Mercy, and collected a career-high five points with an assist on the game-winning goal.
Lucas Wittenburg, who was named to the SoCon Preseason All-Conference Team, is second on the team in points with five goals and three assists, while Michael Quinn notched himself three assists.
Brennan Kiel has a team-high 11 ground balls and Walker Ensor has caused a team-high seven turnovers.
In goal for the Bears is Bradley Hodoval who has 29 saves.
A LOOK AT THE HIGHLANDERS
Coming off another tough loss, 11-8 to Quinnipiac last Saturday, the Highlanders will look to grab their first win of 2017.
Ryan Callaghan leads the team with ten points on six goals and four assists, and
Ryan Darrow follows with nine points tallying five goals and four assists.
Aaron Forster leads the team in goals with seven. Sophomore Forster needs four more points to be the NJIT record holder in career points. Currently Forster holds 36 career points, second to
Joe Lomeli's 40.
John Tachon has a team leading 27 ground balls and is tied with
Brett Goldstein with five caused turnovers.
In goal,
Nick Marzullo has accumulated 45 saves so far for the Highlanders and holds a .437 save percentage.
