NEWARK, NJ—The NJIT men's tennis team fell, 4-3, to visiting Drexel, Sunday morning at the Namoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
The Highlanders (4-4) were led by
Aleksa Petrovic, who defeated Drexel's Hamza Laalej, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, at first singles.
Sophomore
Zac Castagna also turned in a strong performance at the fourth spot, defeating Drexel freshman Alex Zenonos, 6-4, 6-1.
Junior
Richard Rangga delivered a victory for the Highlanders in a thrilling straight-set victory, as he defeated Drexel's Youssef Lahlou by a score of 7-6 (4), 7-6 (3) at fifth singles.
NJIT will look to bounce back on Saturday, March 11, when the Highlanders travel to Princeton to take on the Tigers, beginning at 10 am.
