NJIT Men's Diving Competes at 2017 NYU Invitational

NEW YORK
– NJIT men's diving competed at the 2017 NYU Invitational on February 2-3 at the NYU Palladium Aquatic Center.

In the 1-meter dive event Avery Bechtel was the top Highlander finishing coming in 10th with a score of 193.05.

Teammates Joseph Pedo, Cole Becker and Tyler Schaub each posted personal-best score in the 1-meter. Senior Pedo scored 151.30, and freshmen
Becker posted a 140.55 and Schuab 121.05.

In the 3-meter sophomore Bechtel broke the NJIT diving record earning fourth place and a score of 214.20.

Becker posted another personal-best score in the 3-meter of 148.10.

NJIT swimming and diving will compete at the CCSA Championships in Georgia from February 15-19 for their final competition of the season.
