NEWARK, N.J. - Yonatan Ahdut set the BWEC pool record in the 1,000 freestyle, winning with a time of 9:20.09, but the NJIT swimming and diving team fell to Bryant, 159-139, on Saturday afternoon at the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center.
Ahdut also captured the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:32.08.
Mohamed Walid earned victories in the 200 freestyle (1:40.83) and 200 butterfly (1:49.84).
Andrew Cellar swept the backstroke events, winning the 200 backstroke in 1:49.63 — by a five-second margin — and the 100 backstroke in 49.47.
Borys Endle took first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:01.71, finishing five seconds ahead of the field.
Next Up
After a week off, NJIT will host defending America East champion, Binghamton, on Saturday, Nov. 8 at noon at the BWEC.
