MT. VERNON, NY -- NJIT Club Ice Hockey posted a 3-2 win in a comeback fashion as they travel to Fordham for their first road game of the season.

Fordham, strong out of the gate, held the puck in the NJIT zone for most of the first two periods, scoring their first goal with 1:33 left in the first period and adding another at 12:59 left in the second. 

NJIT turned the game around in the third with a big performance by Richard LaBarbiera. Forward Matthew Lepinski scored the teams first goal at12:07 of the third period. 

With NJIT down one, Labarbiera went to work scoring his first at 8:00 of the third on the power play. His second ended up being the game winning goal with 5:06 left to play. 

Strong goaltending by Thomas Pyrka in his second appearance and second win sealed the deal for the Highlanders as they won all 3 games this weekend.  

The Highlanders travel to Princeton and Rutgers for their first two conference games next weekend.
