Box ScoreNEWARK, NJ—The NJIT men's tennis team won its sixth straight match with a convincing 6-1 victory over Colgate Saturday at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
NJIT (8-2) has won the last six in a row, the longest win streak for NJIT since 2013, when the Highlanders won seven straight. NJIT improved to 6-0 at home with two matches remaining on the 2016 schedule.

Ira Miller added. "A great way to start off spring break."
The Highlanders earned the doubles point, with wins at first and third doubles and recorded five out of six singles contests for the 6-1 win.
Highlander pair
Markus Schultz and
Arnaud Holl recorded a 7-5 victory at first doubles, defeating Jacob Daugherty and Tom Haile. Schutlz won in straight sets at first singles, 6-1, 6-3 over Daugherty.
NJIT duo
Richard Rangga and
Zac Castagna won 6-1 at the third spot over Dean Koman and Jake Hirschberg. Rangga won 61, 6-4 at the fifth spot while Castagna won 6-1, 6-2 at the sixth spot.
Highlanders
Lukas Zvikas battled out a three-set tilt against Bobby Alter at fourth singles. Zvikas dropped the first set, 4-6, but bounced back to win the match, 6-2, 6-1 for the victory.
