The Scarlet Knights (4-2) swept the doubles contests and won all six singles contests against the visiting Highlanders (3-4).
The closest match of the day for NJIT came at the second spot, which featured freshman
Rafaella Sampaio and Cloe Lee. Sampaio won the first set, 6-4, but Rutgers' Lee evened the score at 1-1 with a 6-4 victory in the second set and won the super tiebreaker, 10-7, to earn the win.
NJIT will return to action on Saturday when the Highlanders visit Army at 3pm.
