NEWARK, NJ—The NJIT women's tennis team nipped visiting Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-3, Sunday at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
NJIT picked up the doubles point notching wins at first and third doubles while splitting the singles contests with the visiting Knights to earn the 4-3 victory.

Ira Miller added after the match. "First doubles came back from 7-2 down, saving a match point to clinch the all-important doubles point.
Nathalie Habegger saved several match points in the second set and came back from 4-3 down in the third to pull out the victory."
NJIT's
Carolina Zanotta and
Nathalie Habegger recorded an 8-7 (1) victory at first doubles Gisela Castany and Mariya Krachok. Zanotta won in straight sets at first singles topping Nicole Chis while Habegger battled out a three-set tilt at the second spot, topping Shreya Pasricha, 4-6, 7-6 (11), 6-4.
Sydney Nowak and
Valerie Carroll won by default at third doubles.
Tiffany Barnes won by default at sixth singles for NJIT.
NJIT will return to action on March 14 at 2pm when the Highlanders visit Drexel.
