HOBOKEN, NJ—The NJIT men's fencing team combined for a 3-2 record at the MACFA B Round-Robin hosted by Stevens Sunday.
The Highlanders (15-8) defeated Yeshiva (22-5), Hunter (22-5) and TCNJ (24-3) while dropping two close decisions against host Stevens (11-16) and Army (13-14).
Freshman
Cole Degeroges led the saber squad with a 10-2 record blanking Yeshiva, Hunter and Army while going 1-2 against Stevens. Classmate
Alex Hill went 9-6 while
Robert Slawinski finished the meet with an 8-1 overall mark.
Junior
Maxwell Miller led the foil squad combining for a 10-5 overall mark while freshman
Simon Rizell went 6-0 with 3-0 wins against TCNJ and Army.
Sophomore
Ryan Hrapsky paced the epee squad with a perfect 9-0 record against Yeshiva, Hunter and TCNJ while freshman
Gal Gluhic finished with a 6-0 record with wins over Yeshiva and Hunter.
David Kong combined for a 8-2 mark sweeping Yeshiva and Stevens and picking up a win apiece against TCNJ and Army.
NJIT will return to action on Sunday at the MACFA A vs. B hosted by TCNJ in Ewing, NJ.
