                     NEWARK, NJ—The NJIT men's tennis team blanked visiting Fairleigh Dickinson, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
NJIT (2-0) won two of three doubles contests and swept singles competition in straight sets cruising to a 7-0 win.
Highlander duo 
Andres Alban and 
Jan Cimrman teamed for a 6-4 victory at second doubles defeating FDU tandem of Jacob Whalley and Diogo Garnel.  Alban was victorious at second singles, 6-3, 7-6(5) defeating Whalley while Cimrman combined for a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Gonzalo Quintana.
Doubles pair 
Richard Rangga and 
Carl Jedlinski won 6-3 at third doubles topping Kiran Mani and Arnaud Valentin.  Rangga won at the fifth spot, 6-3, 7-5 while teammate 
Luka Kaic combined for a 6-1, 6-2 victory at sixth singles.
Junior 
Markus Schultz won in straight sets at first singles, 6-2, 6-4, defeating Arvis Berzins, who is currently ranked No. 11 in the region.  "The guys stepped up today against a solid team", head coach 
Ira Miller commented. "Markus's win over the number 11 player in the region was a real treat for the home NJIT crowd."
Arnaud Holl combined for a 6-4, 7-6 (2) at the fourth spot topping Adam Chan.
NJIT will return to action on Sunday at 11am hosting Sacred Heart and 4pm against Saint Peter's
