NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT club men's ice hockey team dropped a 6-4 decision to second place West Chester on Friday night at the Prudential Center.

Staked to a 2-0 lead against 2nd place West Chester in the first period, the Highlanders were confident that they would get a victory against a quality opponent, but in a penalty filled game, NJIT fell into some bad habits and gave back the lead.

The Rams scored three consecutive times in the second period to take a 3-2 lead. 

A late goal by Adam Finkle tied the game before the intermission.  Unfortunately the feeling didn't last as WCU regained the momentum by scoring twice early in the third to go up by two goals. 

Even a late short-hander by Corrado Mancini wasn't enough to turn things around as the Rams finished off the scoring with a power play goal late in the game to seal the win.
