ATHENS, GA – Five members of the NJIT men's swimming and diving team have qualified for the finals in their respective events during Day Two of the 2015 Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Championships held at Gabrielson Natatorium on the campus of University of Georgia.
In the preliminary race for the 50-yard freestyle, junior
Brian Capozzola finished second with a new school record time of 20.40.
Junior
Richard Seffrin placed seventh in the preliminary rounds of the 500-yard freestyle at 4:40.81. Seffrin will be joined in the 500-free finals with freshmen
Collin Moore (4:44.53) and
Maxim Tillman (4:48.35) and senior
Gene Tutzauer (4:56.51).
The finals of the 50 and 500-yard freestyles will take place Thursday night, as well as the finals for the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 3-meter diving event. The Championships will continue through February 21.
