Cole Degeroges combined for 10 wins apiece as the NJIT men's fencing team finished 3-1 at the MACFA A vs. B hosted by College of New Jersey Sunday afternoon.
The Highlanders (18-9) defeated Rutgers (23-4), Drew (25-2) and Lafayette (21-6) with its lone loss coming against Cornell (13-14).
Sophomore
David Kong from Rutherford, NJ, combined for a perfect 10-0 record on the foil strip, going 3-0 against Cornell, Rutgers and Lafayette while going 1-0 against Drew. Teammate
Maxwell Miller went 7-3 with 3-0 wins against Rutgers and Lafayette.
Ryan Hrapsky, a sophomore from Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, led the epee squad combining for a 10-1 mark with 3-0 wins against Cornell and Lafayette while picking up two wins apiece against Rutgers and Drew. Freshman
Eduardo Ezcurra recorded seven wins while teammate
Gal Gluhic picked up six wins.
