NEWARK, NJ –
Nathalie Habegger, from Gland, Switzerland, has been selected as Female Athlete of the Week for her performance at the NJIT Invitational held at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
During the Highlanders final match of the fall season, Habegger went undefeated in singles and doubles play.
Against Saint Joseph's, Habegger won in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 against Claire Minnoe at first singles. In doubles play, Habegger teamed up with
Natalija Tasovac for a 7-6(5) victory topping Minnoe and Alex Zackem.
In first singles against Sacred Heart, the junior went on to win 6-2, 6-3 in straight sets over Paige Olsen. Habegger and Tasovac won convincingly at first doubles defeating Olsen and Taylor Gurda of Sacred Heart 6-1.
NJIT will return back to action in the New Year when the Highlanders host the NJIT Winter Invitational on January 23.
