NEWARK, NJ—The NJIT women's tennis team hosted Saint Joseph's and Sacred Heart on Saturday at the Highlanders annual NJIT Invitational at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility concluding the Fall portion of the Highlanders schedule.

NJIT vs. Saint Joseph'sNJIT duo
Nathalie Habegger and
Natalija Tasovac teamed for a 7-6 (5) victory in doubles competition topping Saint Joseph's Claire Minnoe and Alex Zackem.
Highlanders' Brazilian pair
Amanda Helminsky and
Rafaella Sampaio were 6-3 winners defeating Kristina Eisenbrand and Sarah Contrata.
Sophomore pair
Ines Vujkovac and
Alba Rosas Garcia combined for a 6-3 decision topping Maureen Delvin and Robyn Ferraro.
Habegger won in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 against Minnoe at first singles. Sampaio posted a 7-6(4), 6-4 (8) decision at the third spot topping Zachem.
Rosas Garcia notched a win at fifth singles respectively for NJIT, posting a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Maddi Graziani.
NJIT vs. Sacred HeartHighlander duo Habegger and Tasovac won convincingly at first doubles, 6-1, topping Paige Olson and Taylor Gurda.
Helminsky and Sampaio combined for a 6-2 victory at the second spot against Olivia Podsiebierski and Tori Oates.
Habegger won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3 against Paige Olson while Sampaio competing at the second spot, topped Podsiebierski, 6-4, 6-3.
Helminsky recorded a 6-2, 6-3 victory at third singles defeating Gurda. Rosas Garcia went the distance against Claudia Ruiz in a three-set tilt, at fourth singles, coming out on top, 6-2, 4-6, 10-3.
Tasovac combined for an 8-3 decision at fifth singles against Oates.
