NEWARK, NJ—Two NJIT fencers,
Julia Garcia and
Ian Constantin, competed in individual outside fencing competition last weekend.
Collegiate fencers are allowed to partake in non-college competition outside the NCAA-designated dates for the sport.
Julia Garcia, who is ranked #1 in Junior Women's Epee in Spain, placed second in a field of 60 fencers including 12 A's and 13 B's at the Fencers Club NYC Women's Epee Grand Prix II.
