College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-District Men's At-Large Team Official Release
NEWARK, NJ–Niels Roubailo and
Christopher Cortez were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-District Men's At-Large Team on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Roubailo, who hails from Walchil, Switzerland, boosted a 3.95 GPA and graduated in May with a biochemistry degree. A United States Fencing Association (USFCA) all-region second team honoree, Roubailo concluded the season at the 2025 NCAA Fencing Championships hosted by Penn State, finishing 24th in the men's epee competition at his first NCAA Championships.
He finished ninth out of 47 fencers in the men's epee competition at the 2025 NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional on March 8. 2025 and combined for a 67-25 season record with a 72.83 winning percentage. Roubailo was a member of the NJIT men's epee squad which was crowned MACFA Conference Epee Team Champions.
Cortez, from Morristown, NJ, posted a 3.82 GPA and graduated in May 2025 with a information technology degree. A United States Fencing Association (USFCA) all-region honorable mention, Cortez was the top finisher for NJIT, placing 12th in the men's sabre competition at the 2025 NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional on March 8, 2025.
At the MACFA Championships, Cortez was part of the men's sabre squad which placed second at the championships and placed 14th individually. He finished the 2024-25 season with a 73-34 overall record (68.22 winning percentage).
