CAMBRIDGE, MA—The Harvard women's tennis team won its third straight match of the season sweeping visiting NJIT, 7-0, at the Murr Center Tennis Courts.
Harvard improves to 5-3 on the season while NJIT, which also entered the contest after winning its last two matches, falls to 8-4.
The closest match of the evening came at fifth singles featuring NJIT's
Jana Luste and Harvard's Sylvia Li. Li took the first set, 6-2, while Highlanders' Luste won by the identical score in the next frame but it was Li who came out on top earning the point for the Crimson with a 6-1 victory.
NJIT will break for Spring Break and return to action on March 19-20 when the Highlanders face Nebraska at Omaha and Kansas at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
