EASTON, PA—Senior
Jaila Graham was the top finisher for NJIT at the 2013 NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals hosted by Lafayette College this past weekend.
Graham, who finished with a 32-16 overall record this season in varsity bouts on the women's epee strip, placed 24
th out of 36 fencers Saturday. Last year she placed 21
st.
Sophomore
Julia Aronov took 33
rd in the women's epee, after posting a 33-15 overall record this past season. Last year, Aronov finished in the top 18 at the NCAA Fencing Regionals.
In the women's foil,
Hannah Huan and
Michelle Potestio finished 33
rd and 36
th respectively. Huana combined for a 25-23 overall record this season and placed 30th last season at the NCAA Fencing Regionals. Potestio finished 22-26 overall.
Junior
Opeyemi Alade the only NJIT fencer competing on the women's sabre strip, finished 36
th. She combined for a 5-15 overall record this season and finished 35th at the 2012 NCAA Fencing Regionals.
