HANOVER, NH—The NJIT women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at Dartmouth Sunday afternoon at the Boss Tennis Center and Gordon Pavilion.
Dartmouth, which dropped its season opener against Boston College, have now won three straight matches improving to 3-1, while the Highlanders, which came into the contest on a three-match win streak, dropped the first match of the 2013 season, falling to 3-1.
Martina Tripcovici was the only winner Sunday for the Highlanders at sixth singles winning by identical scores, 6-4, 6-4 over Julienne Keong Si Ying.
The Highlanders will be back to action this weekend at the ECAC Indoor Championships hosted by Columbia in New York.
