NEWARK, NJ—Margaret McKeon has resigned as head coach of women's basketball at New Jersey Institute of Technology, Director of Athletics
Lenny Kaplan announced today.
McKeon coached NJIT for five seasons, starting in 2007-08, the program's second year of NCAA Division I competition. Her five-year record with the Highlanders was 49-96, including 13-17 in 2011-12. Prior to NJIT, she was head coach at Boston University for five seasons (1999-2004).
“We thank Coach McKeon for her efforts on behalf of NJIT and its women's basketball program and we wish her well in her future endeavors,” said Kaplan, the Director of Athletics. “A search for a new head coach will begin immediately.”
