LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The NJIT men's tennis team extended its win streak to five Wednesday afternoon with a convincing, 7-0, victory over Rider.

The Highlanders, now 13-5 overall with the sweep over Rider, had four 6-0, 6-0 singles victories and three 8-1 doubles victories.  Second singles was won by NJIT 6-3, 6-1 and a 6-2, 6-2 win at the sixth spot.

The NJIT singles winners were: Carl Lundquist (#1 singles; 6-0, 6-0); Fraser Croad (#2 singles; 6-3, 6-1); Diego Abreu (#3 singles; 6-0, 6-0); Dimitri Athans (#4 singles; 6-0, 6-0); Dan Salomon (#5 singles; 6-0, 6-0) and Bryan Keelan (#6 singles; 6-2, 6-2).

The next three scheduled matches of the season are road contests, starting with 10am match vs. Hartford on Saturday in Loudonville, NY.  NJIT will face Siena at 3pm.
