Saratoga Springs, NY -- The NJIT Highlanders traveled to the Glens Falls Civic Center to face-off against the Skidmore College Halfbreds only to get stampeded 7 - 4. In a contest where the home team was awarded numerous power plays and no penalties, the Highlanders were fighting an uphill battle all the way.
After Justin Gelesky was hauled down on a breakaway and the question of whether or not he would be awarded a penalty shot was answered with no penalty being assessed - the Highlanders knew they were in for a long night.
Despite being assaulted on virtually every trip into the offensive zone NJIT managed to score 4 goals. 2 by Gelesky and 1 each by Tim Cornely and James Wintjen were more than anyone could expect. The difference in the game were the 2 power play goals and an empty net tally by Skidmore.
