WEST ORANGE, NJ -
The heated battle left men's ice hockey down for the count in their season opener against the County College of Morris Titans on Saturday for a final score of 6-1.
The Highlanders hosted the Titans at Richard Codey arena in West Orange to a disappointed crowd of NJIT fans.
Talking about how the teams performance could be improved upon for the teams next match-up, Highlander coach Bob McMorrow said that the "overall defensive positioning needs work. It was a great effort for a first game."
The Highlanders ice hockey teams' next home game at the Richard Codey arena is on Sunday, October 28, when they host Union College from Schenectady, NY.
