Senior Abdul Lewis reached 1,000 career points in NJIT's win over Kennesaw State, 72-52, in ASUN Conference action at the Wellness and Events Center on Saturday.

Lewis eclipsed 1,000 career points with the opening basket of the second half to spark the Highlanders. He finished with 15 points, bringing his career total to 1,011 (NJIT, 768; South Alabama, 232).

Lewis, who ranks second in the ASUN in rebounds, nearly missed posting a double-double against KSU, grabbing eight rebounds.
