NJIT senior Christian Baumbach captured the 2012 Hofstra Walter “Brick” Stone Run title Saturday at Bethpage State Park in the season opener for the Highlanders.

Baumbach, who finished the 5k run with a time of 15:51.99 won the “Brick” Stone Run.

He was also named Great West Confernce Runner of the Week by the conference Wednesday.
