Team Note:NJIT finishes 2013 at 8-10-1 while notching 6 shutouts, also a new program high in the Division I era, which began in 2006. The previous Division I high for wins was 7 when the Highlanders were 7-9-2 in 2009.This year's team also matched the overall program record for wins. Started as a Division III program in 1996, NJIT played in Division II from 1997 to 2005, posting an 8-6-3 mark the final season in Division II.

Prior to NJIT: Karen David comes to NJIT enrolled in NJIT's Albert Dorman Honors College, where she plans to major in chemical engineering, from Biotechnology High School in Freehold Township, NJ. … On the field, she was the goalkeeper for the 2011 Group III Central Jersey champions and she earned Monmouth County recognition as a senior and junior. … In club soccer, she played for the New Jersey Wildcats, who were ranked fourth in the nation. Her coach with the Wildcats, Kevin McDermott, offered high praise: “She is a top goalkeeper and has a tremendous vertical and frequently comes up with saves to shots you would never imagine could be saved.”
Personal: Enrolled in NJIT's Albert Dorman Honors College...majors in chemical engineering and pursing masters in engineering management.
