Team Note: NJIT finishes 2013 at 8-10-1 while notching 6 shutouts, also a new program high in the Division I era, which began in 2006. The previous Division I high for wins was 7 when the Highlanders were 7-9-2 in 2009.This year's team also matched the overall program record for wins. Started as a Division III program in 1996, NJIT played in Division II from 1997 to 2005, posting an 8-6-3 mark the final season in Division II.

2012: Appeared in every match (20), with 19 starts in her freshman season in the back for the Highlanders.

Prior to NJIT: One of three Canadians in this group of 10 National Letter of Intent signees for NJIT, Danielle Pierce resides in Ajax, a city about 30 miles northeast of Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario. Competing for her high school, Archbishop Denis O'Connor Catholic, she has won two regional soccer championships and was OFFSA finalist. She also plays varsity basketball and volleyball for her school. On the club level, she competes for Pickering Power Green of the Pickering Soccer Club, one of the top programs in Canada and she is also a member of Team Ontario, the team of Canada's most populous province. Her club was provincial league (OYSL) champion in 2011, as well as Ontario/Quebec Challenge Cup winners that year. In 2010, the team was Canadian national club champion, Ontario champion, and Ontario Cup champion among numerous other honors in her time on the club.
