Katie Clarke

Katie Clarke joined the NJIT women’s soccer coaching staff in July 2026 as an Assistant Coach.

Most recently, she served as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the Lake Erie College women's soccer program while also working as the goalkeeper coach for both the men's and women's teams from Fall 2024 through Spring 2026.

"We are excited to welcome Katie to our program as our new assistant coach, said head coach Ally Nick. “During my time at NJIT, I have been fortunate to work with assistant coaches who have truly invested in our players and the growth of our program. Katie is a great fit for the vision we have for both our goalkeepers and our team. Her passion for the game and the relationships she builds will be a tremendous asset to our program. We are excited to have her join our staff and look forward to the impact she will make on our players and culture."

During her time at Lake Erie, Clarke played a key role in the day-to-day operations of the program. Her responsibilities included assisting with practice planning and implementation, developing and training goalkeepers, coordinating team travel logistics including hotels, transportation, and meals for away competitions, and conducting film analysis while preparing detailed scouting reports for upcoming opponents.

Prior to Lake Erie, Clarke spent the 2023-24 academic year as the Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach for the Emory & Henry College women's soccer program. In that role, she assisted with player development, practice planning, recruiting support, and the specialized training of the team's goalkeepers.

In the summer of 2026, Clarke expanded her coaching experience by serving as the Director of Goalkeeping for Ambassadors Football Club Ohio's NPSL Men's First Team and Men's U23 squad, overseeing goalkeeper development and implementing position-specific training for both teams.

Clarke has also made an impact at the youth level, serving as the Head Coach for the Southwest Virginia Rush U12 Boys team from Fall 2023 through Spring 2024.

A four-year member of the Davis & Elkins College women's soccer program from 2019-23, Clarke was the team's starting goalkeeper throughout her collegiate career.

Clarke earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Training from Davis & Elkins College in 2023. She went on to earn her Master of Business Administration from Lake Erie College in May 2026.

She holds an English FA Level 1 coaching and refereeing license.
