Biography
2024: America East All-Academic selection...led the Highlanders in goals (29), assists (16) and total points (45) while starting all 14 games, with his 45 points being the most by a Highlander since Aaron Forster's 53 (36 G, 17 A) in 2019. Muscatella was named America East Offensive Player of the Week twice (Mar. 4, Feb. 12) and ended the 2024 campaign on a 24-game point streak dating back to last year.
2023: College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District and America East All-Academic honoree...played in all 13 contests with 12 starts.. was second on the team with a career-best 22 goals to go along with eight assists, 19 ground balls and three caused turnovers...named America East Offensive Player of the Week on March 13 after scoring a career-high four goals and adding an assist in NJIT's 14-13 win over Lindenwood...matched that exact five-point output at UAlbany on April 15.
2022: Played all 13 games, starting 3...netted five goals and assisted on three others for eight total points...also managed eight ground balls on the year...had a hat trick on the road against Marist on Apr. 12.
2021: Played in all 11 games (10 starts)...logged five goals and one assist, along with a ground ball and three caused turnovers...recorded a season-high two points (both on goals) at Lehigh on Feb. 27.
Prior To NJIT: Competed at West Morris Central for Rob Goodwin...First Team All-State, All-Conference, and All-League selection...academically, inducted into National Honor Society.
Personal: Garrett Reed Muscatella...son of Cathy and Nick Muscatella...intends to major in Biomedical Engineering.
