Biography

2006-07: Barker led the Highlanders in scoring, averaging 12.6 points per game. ... made the game-winning shot in a 56-55 win over defending MAAC champ Manhattan in NJIT's first Division I game. ... scored an NJIT Division I-record 27 points in his last full game, leading NJIT to a home win over South Dakota State. ... Barker wound up his career ranked sixth on the all-time school scoring list, with 1,617 points. He ranks in the career top seven in nine other categories--field goals (fourth); field goal attempts (second); three-point field goals (third); three-point field goal attempts (second); free throws (fourth); free throw attempts (third); free throw percentage (seventh); assists (third); and, steals (second). 

2005-06:
Named to the second team all-Met and first team all-CACC ... his 21.9 points per game was third best in the CACC (12th in the nation), free throw percentage was ninth-best in the CACC, while he was fourth in steals 2.04 per game (67th in the nation) and third in three-point field goals made per game 2.58 (72nd in the nation) ... ranks eighth on the NJIT all-time list with 1,328 points ... set an NJIT school-record 45 points vs. Post University on 2/25/06. 

2004-05:
All-CACC second-team after playing in 24 games (22 starts) and averaging 13.7 points, 4.0 assists and 2.1 steals (53rd in the nation) ... shot .821 at the foul line (80th nationally) ... excellent off the dribble ... hit 43 three-pointers ... hit three game-winning shots in the last 30 seconds.

2003:04: Started the first five games before suffering season-ending muscle tear.

2002-03: Started all 29 games ... averaged 13.1 points, 3.8 assists and 2.4 steals ... shot team-best .419 from three-point range ... CACC Player of the Week 12/9 ... made nine consecutive three-point attempts over an early-season three-game stretch ... played 40 or more minutes on six occassions.

Prior to NJIT: MVP and all-county for coach Marshall Grier at Passaic High ... also all-county in football ... National Honor Society Member ... graduated 15th in a class of 550 ... played for coach Chris Oden on the AAU New Jersey RAP.

Personal: Son of Clayton Barker and Lisa Gutierrez ... majoring in management with a 3.1 GPA.
