Biography

2023: Started all 53 games, with 52 of them coming a third base and one at second base...finished third on the team in home runs (7) and tied for second in RBIs (36)...two-run home run was the difference in NJIT's 2-1 win at Missouri (3/10), the first win over an SEC opponent in program history...had a walk off double and walk off home run to help the Highlanders sweep UAlbany...hit a pair of home runs, including a first inning grand slam, in the America East Tournament vs. Binghamton (5/24).

2022: Started all 53 games at third base, playing almost every inning of the season at the Hot Corner...hit a career-best .263, while also setting career-highs in hits (46), RBIs (33), runs (29), doubles (10), and triples (two)....12 multi-hit games, including a pair of three-hit contests at Wake Forest (2/26) and at Villanova (3/11).

2021: Played in 38 games, starting 36 primarily at third base...named America East Player of the Week after slashing .636/.714/1.000 in the final weekend of the regular season vs. UMBC...hit four home runs, including three in a four-game series vs. Stony Brook.


2020: Saw action in 13 of 16 games, making 11 starts, in season cut short due to COVID-19 Pandemic...ranked second on the team with four doubles...season-high three hits at Longwood (2/23)...also recorded multi-hit games in another contest at Longwood (2/21) and vs. Bucknell (3/1).

2019: Appeared in 29 games, including 27 starts. ... batted .216 with 21 hits, 12 RBI and seven doubles, which ranked tied for third on the team. ... first collegiate home run at Saint Peter's (Apr 10). 

Prior to NJIT: The 5-foot-10 infielder comes to NJIT after attending Mt. Sinai High School.  A four-time all-League selection and 2017 Gold Glove award winner, Donnelly helped guide Mt. Sinai to 2016 County Champions.  Donnelly was selected Most Valuable Player during his senior campaign and played summer ball for East Coast Lumberjacks.  A member of the football team at Mt. Sinai, Donnelly was named 2016 Rookie of the Year, 2017 Defensive Most Valuable Player and All-Division and All-County and Most Valuable Player as a senior in 2018.
