André Narvaéz, a 2004 NJIT graduate, is in his fifth season as the Highlanders first base coach and he will also assist with the pitchers and outfielders.

He was a four-year player for the Highlanders, posting three victories and two saves in his college career, including a shutout of Teikyo Post in 2001.

In addition to playing baseball, he was a student assistant in the sports information office and he remains a part of the NJIT statistics crew for home basketball and volleyball, while also working on the stat crews at other colleges.

Narvaez, who is employed by Verizon, resides in Belleville, NJ.
