Prior to NJIT: First-team all-Conference as a junior and senior at Summit High School.  As a senior, pitched 45 innings and struck out 63 batters. His 63 strikeouts is a Summit High School single-season record.  He played for Rawlings C5T Elite of Virginia as a showcase team playing in the Perfect Game Tournament (2015-16) and played summer ball for the Upper Deck Elite.
