Biography

2022: Team captain...Named to NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watchlist...finished his career with most appearances (86) in program history...moved from closer role to starting rotation mid-way through the season...won three games on the mound and also closed out a pair of saves...tossed a career-high 7.0 innings of two-hit ball, allowing just one run in a win at Binghamton (5/7).

2021: First Team All-Region...First Team All-America East...America East All-Tournament Team...set the single-season record for both wins (8) and saves (11), appearing in 28 games as the team's closer...earned the save in NJIT's America East Tournament first-round victory over Albany and followed it up getting the win in the second round against Maine to send the Highlanders to the Championship...pitched the final two innings to earn the save in NJIT's first-ever NCAA Tournament win vs. Northeastern.

2020: Pitched in a team-high 10 games in season cut short after 16 games due to COVID-19 Pandemic...tossed the final 1.2 innings to close out a victory over Penn State (2/15), not allowing a run in the process and earning the save...struck out a pair at UTRGV (3/7).

2019: Led the Highlanders in appearances (17), including three starts. ... posted a 3-2 mark with one save in 38.0 innings of work. ... pitched a career long 6.1 scoreless innings in an 8-0 shut-out victory over Fairfield (Apr 30), allowing just two hits while striking out a pair of Stag batters.

2018: The Highlanders crafty lefty, appeared in 10 games in his first season, posting a 1-1 mark in 10.1 innings of action. ... picked up his first collegiate win against Saint Peter's (Apr 18).

Prior to NJIT: Rappaport, a left-handed pitcher, led Highland Regional High School to the finals of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 and was named a Top Performer at the 2016 PBR NJ State Games.
