Biography

2022: Pitched in a career-high 16 games, mostly out of the bullpen before making a start in the America East Tournament...best performance of the season came in a no-hit four-inning save, while striking out five as the Highlanders held off first-place Maine 4-3 (4/8)...struck out seven in 3.2 innings of work at Albany (3/25) and followed it up with another seven-strikout performance in 3.2 IP vs. UMBC (4/17)...finished the season with 56 strikeouts in 35 innings pitched. 

2021: Made nine appearances out of the bullpen...struck out eight in 6.2 innings of work on the season.

2020: Did not see game action.

2019: Appeared in four games. ... first collegiate appearance on February 16 vs. Eastern Michigan.

2018: Did not appear in any games.

Prior to NJIT: The 5-foot-11 right-handed pitcher attended Downingtown East High School.  Gegeckas earned Perfect Game 2017 Atlantic Region Honorable Mention recognition and named 2015 WWBA Underclass World Championship All-Tournament Team.  He was ranked the #15 RHP in PA and Top 1000 nationally by Perfect Game.
