Four-year Team Captain

2022:
Second Team All-America East...team captain...led the Highlanders with 12 home runs and 45 RBI in his best season as a five-year starter for the Highlanders...finished his career tied with classmate Julio Marcano as the program's career HR record holder with 29...hit by more pitches over his career than any other Highlander ever (50)...played and started all 53 games, splitting time behind the plate and in right field...walk-off single in America East First Round vs. Hartford...three, three-hit games...hit a pair of home runs at Princeton (4/27) and at Stony Brook (5/20)...pair of five-RBI games at Seton Hall (3/22) and at Stony Brook (5/20).

2021: Played in 45 games, making 44 starts, primarily as a catcher or DH...tied for second on the team with six HR to go along with 18 RBI...hit a solo HR to help the Highlanders jumpstart a come-from-behind win in the first round of the America East Tournament vs. Albany...also homered in season-finale vs. Nebraska at the NCAA Tournament.

2020: Saw action in and started 12 games in a season cut short after 16 games due to the COVID-19 Pandemic...hit a pair of home runs for the team lead, while knocking in the second-most runs on the squad (12)...season-high three RBI at Longwood (2/23)...home runs came against Longwood (2/23) and UTRGV (3/8).

2019: Started all 45 games behind the plate. ... batted .200 with 32 hits, 32 runs, 23 RBI, 10 doubles, which ranked tied for second on the team and six home runs, which ranked second on the team. ... registered a six-RBI game at North Alabama (May 3), including a pair of home runs, finishing 3-for-5 with three runs. ... ASUN Conference Player of the Week (Feb. 18). ... named to the Buster Posey Catcher Award Watch List (April 3).

2018: ASUN All-Freshmen team honoree. ... Franzoni, the Highlanders vocal freshman catcher, started 42 games behind the plate for NJIT. ... He combined for a .271 batting average with 36 hits, 21 runs, 16 RBI, seven doubles and is tied for the team lead with three homeruns. ...recorded his first collegiate homerun against Saint Peter's on April 10. ...in ASUN action, Franzoni batted .296 with 21 hits, nine runs and nine RBI, four doubles and two homeruns.

Prior to NJIT: Franzoni, a four-year starter at Princeton Day School, is a three-time first-team New Jersey All-Prep honoree.  The 5-foot-10 catcher was also recognized as first-team All-Prep by both the Trenton Times and Trentonian as a junior.  He earned first-team All-Area as a senior and second-team honors as a junior.  Cited by the Perfect Game, Franzoni was ranked the No. 6 catcher in New Jersey and all-American Honorable Mention for the Northeast Region.  Franzoni was selected as Perfect Game WWBA all-Tournament team and named Most Valuable Player as a senior at Princeton Day School.  Franzoni played for the NJ Diamond Jacks Super 17.
