Biography

2024: America East Second Team selection and AE All-Academic for fourth straight year...He ended the regular season first in the America East in saves (185; 10th in NJIT), saves per game (13.21;9th in NCAA), save percentage (.552; 13th in NCAA), minutes (833:02), and second in goals against average (10.80). Brown maintained a spot in the top ten in saves among active Division I players and ended the year third with an NJIT record 735. Brown also had the top save performance of any AE goalie (24 at UMBC on Apr. 20), two of the top four and three of the top eight. He also recorded his first career point, an assist against Bryant on Mar. 30. He is also the only America East goalkeeper to record a 20-save outing in each of the last four seasons. Brown earned America East Defensive Player of the Week honors once this year (Feb. 5) and earned a spot on the USILA/Blatant Lacrosse Division I Team of the Week on Feb. 6.

2023: USILA Division I Scholar All-American, America East Man of the Year Finalist, College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District, America East Presidential Scholar-Athlete, and America East All-Academic selection...started all 13 games (career high 784:00 minutes)...stopped a career-best 192 saves while recording a career-low 13.01 GAA...opened year with a season-high 20 saves at Siena on February 11...posted double-digit saves in all 13 contests...added 31 ground balls and six caused turnovers.

2022: Started all 13 contests in net (572:22)...reset his third place standing on NJIT's season save list with 148 stops...only goalie in America East with multiple 20+ save games (league-leading 21 at Marist on Apr. 12; 20 against Lehigh on Feb. 12...grabbed 30 ground balls (including a team-best 8 at Vermont on Mar. 19) and four caused turnovers...named to the America East All-Academic team for a second consecutive year.

2021: Started all 11 games in goal (522:00 minutes)...posted the third highest save total in program history (138; tied w/ Nick Marzullo, 2018)...recorded an America East-best 20 saves in the season opener vs Delaware on Feb. 20...posted a 14.14 GAA and added 27 ground balls and three caused turnovers...named to the America East All-Academic team.

2020: Started six of seven games as a freshman (season shortened due to COVID-19 public health crisis)...posted two of the top 10 goalie performances in NJIT history (21 saves vs. No. 18 Lehigh on Feb. 22, 19 at Delaware Feb. 15)....totaled 72 saves and a 13.46 GAA in 303:06 of game action...added seven ground balls.

Prior to NJIT: Competed at Saint Peter's Prep in Jersey City for head coach  Greg Morrissey...named team captain and earned team Defensive MVP during senior season...All-Waterman Division Honorable Mention as a senior...earned several academic accolades, including National Honor Society, National German Honor Society, and National Merit Scholarship commendation...played club for assistant coach Alex Lopes' NJ Diesel.

Personal: Liam Patrick Brown...son of Kevin and Cheryl Brown...intends to major in  Biomedical Engineering.
