2023: CSC Academic All-District...Pitched in 26 games to lead the Highlanders pitching staff...finished the season 3-2 with a 4.50 ERA and five saves...tossed 16.2 consecutive scoreless innings midway through the season...pitched four scoreless to earn a save against UAlbany (3/31) and follwoed it up with three shutout innings to earn another save in his next appearance at UMBC (4/4)...earned America East Pitcher of the Week honors for three shutout appearances, combing for 6.2 innings pitched vs. Rider and LIU twice...struck out a season-high six over four innings to earn the win against Binghamton (4/21).

2022: Made team-high-tying 21 appearances, including seven starts on the mound...back-to-back America East Pitcher of the Week Awards after tremendous starts at Norfolk St. (3/6) and Hartford (3/19)...tossed 6.2 shutout innings with a career-high nine strikeouts to earn the win at Norfolk St. and followed it up with 8.0 scoreless and eight strikeouts to beat Hartford...also earned a pair of saves on back-to-back days at Binghamton (5/7 and 5/8)...earned a pair of wins in the America East Tournament, tossing a combined four scoreless innings out of the bullpen in NJIT's two wins vs. Hartford and UMBC, respectfully.

2021: Pitched in 13 games, making 11 starts on the mound...struck out a career-high eight hitters in 5.2 IP vs. Albany (3/21)...struck out six in 5.0 IP against Binghamton (5/16) en route to the mound win.

2020: Appeared in six games on the mound, making a team-high five starts, in season which was cut short after 16 games due to COVID-19 Pandemic...finished third on the team with 11 strikeouts in 15.1...struck out a season-high five in 4.0 IP vs, Bucknell...tossed five innings at Villanova (3/10), striking out four and allowing two earned runs. 

2019: Appeared in 16 games, including one start. ... posted a 2-0 record with a 4.82 ERA in 16.2 innings of work, while striking out 19 batters. ...first collegiate win vs. Eastern Michigan (Feb. 15).

Prior to NJIT: A two-year letter winner, Vurpillant guided San Juan Hills High School to the playoffs in 2018 and selected to the All-Tournament team Senior Fall Classic.  Vurpillat played summer ball for Quakes Baseball Academy with 2019 recruit Brett Helmkamp.
