2012-13: Swingman who starred for two years at the Division II level for Pace in New York. ... CollegeHoopsDaily.com first-team all-conference in the Great West Conference. ... Great West Conference second-team honoree. ... Woods, chosen second-team all-GWC in the official balloting, was NJIT's second-leading scorer this season (14.4 ppg) and he obliterated the existing school Division I record for 3-point baskets, making 84 this year to break a record that had been 62. Indeed, his 84 treys tied the overall school record set by Clarence Pierce in 1994-95, when NJIT was a Division III program. ...Woods, who was 16th in 3-pointers per game in the latest national stats, separated his left shoulder in the last home game and was forced to sit out the regular season finale. He returned for the conference tournament and was NJIT's leading scorer in its loss, with 16 points on 7-for-11 shooting.

Prior to NJIT: Playing at Division II Pace in Pleasantville, NY, in 2008-09 and 2009-10, Woods led the Setters in points per game in both of his seasons, averaging 13.4 ppg as a freshman and 15.2 ppg in 22 contests as a sophomore. In 50 career games at Pace, he scored 709 points (14.2 ppg) … He also tied for the team lead in rebounds per game (6.4) as a sophomore, while topping Pace in 3-point percentage (.408; 51-125), 3-pointers made, and free throw percentage (81-93, .871; ranked 25th in Division II) … His sophomore single-game scoringhigh was 27 in an overtime loss to St. Anselm’s on January 12 … As a freshman in 2008-09, Woods averaged 4.2 rpg and made 64 3-pointers (64-161, .398), while shooting 75 percent at the foul line (69-92) … His freshman scoring high was 24 in an overtime loss to St. Rose (1/31/09) … 

High School: Starred at St. Peter’s Boys High School (Class of 2008) in Staten Island, NY, for coach Charlie Driscoll … St. Peter’s is the high school alma mater of NJIT head coach Jim Engles and assistant coaches Mike Spisto and Kevin Tirone. Woods is also a Staten Island hoops contemporary of NJIT teammate Isaiah Wilkerson … As a senior, Woods won the Jacques Award as the top boys basketball player on Staten Island, as well as selection as a Staten Island Advance All-Star and a Daily News All-Star ,,, played AAU ball with the Jersey Shore Warriors, coached by Tony Sagona.
