Biography

2012: Appeared in 31 games with 25 starts after returning to the Highlander lineup after surgery last season. ... Pizzi hit .198 with 18 hits, 15 runs and six runs batted in.

2011: Injury redshirt

2010: Pizzi, who played through injuries most of the season ranked third on the team with a (.304) batting average with 42 hits, 19 runs, 17 runs batted in and nine doubles.

2009: New Jersey College Baseball Association University Division all-rookie (selected from among eight NJ Division I teams) ... top batting average (.284) among Highlanders with more than 80 at-bats. Went hitless in the final two games, but had hit safely in the previous 13 in a row (April 15-May 10). The streak lifted Pizzi's batting average more than 100 points … led NJIT in runs scored (18) and triples (2).

 

Prior to NJIT: all-Shore Conference for coach Paul Sessa at Marlboro HS  ... batted .392 with 4 home runs, adding 21 steals … played summer ball for the OSA Marlins (ABCCL).
