2012: Played in 42 games (33 starts) in his final season at NJIT. ... combined for 29 hits, 17 runs batted in, 13 runs and three doubles. ... Anthony batted .252 in 155 at-bats.

2011: Appeared in 43 games (38 starts). ... finished his junior year with a .242 batting average, 32 hits and 14 runs batted in. ... Team's most consistent hitter at putting the ball in play, with 139 plate appearances and 13 strikeouts.

2010: Played in 34 games, with 24 starts. ... batted .225 with 20 hits in his sophomore season.

2009: Appeared in 14 games as a freshman, making two starts. Although his plate appearances were limited (15 at-bats), he posted the highest batting average on the team (.400).

 

Prior to NJIT: Played at Edison High School.

 

Personal: Anthony Vincent Caiola ... business major … son of Joe and Carol Caiola. Joe is a graduate of NJIT, where he was a two-year member of the men’s basketball team and once scored 40 points in a game. Carol played softball for Rutgers … Joe is also NJIT’s Assistant Athletic Director for Business and Facilities at NJIT and previously was an assistant basketball coach. Anthony’s older brother, Joe, is a graduate student at NJIT,  studying mechanical engineering ... born 7/3/90 in Edison, NJ.
