America East Conference Official Release

NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT men's soccer team has been selected to finish seventh in the 2026 America East Preseason Coaches Poll, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Head coach Fernando Barboto enters his 11th season leading the Highlanders. NJIT returns 12 players from last year's squad while welcoming a talented incoming class that includes a strong blend of graduate transfers and freshmen.

The 2026 America East Men's Soccer Championship begins with the quarterfinal round on Nov. 7, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 11 and the championship match on Nov. 15. The top six teams in the regular-season standings will qualify for the conference tournament, with the top two seeds earning first-round byes.
