LEXINGTON, S.C. -- The NJIT men's tennis team saw their postseason run come to a close Friday night, falling 4-0 to Longwood in the semifinal round of the Big South Conference Men's Tennis Championship.

The Lancers claimed the early advantage by securing the doubles point, taking two of three matches to move in front 1-0 heading into singles play.

In singles competition, the Lancers extended their lead with victories on three courts to clinch the match. The Highlanders battled throughout the lineup and competed in several tightly contested sets, but the Lancers maintained momentum to secure the 4-0 decision.

Despite the result, the Highlanders ended the regular season on a ten-match winning streak and earned themselves the No. 2 seed in their first year as a member of the Big South.
