NEWARK, NJ -- The NJIT men's tennis team earned the #2 seed ahead of the Big South Men's Tennis Championship and will compete in the semifinals on Friday, the 17th.

The Highlanders closed the regular season riding a ten match winning streak and finished the season with an impressive 14-2 record.

"We are happy to get rewarded with the #2 seed in our first year in the conference, but this is anyone's tournament and we have to be ready to compete at our best," said Head Coach Marco Matteucci. "We need to win the important points and take nothing for granted!"

The Highlanders will face the winner of the Longwood/Bryant match in the semifinals on Friday, the 17th with first serve scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
