Box Score NEWARK, NJ – The NJIT women's volleyball team put up a strong fight on Tuesday evening in the 2025 home opener at the Joel & Diane Bloom Wellness & Events Center, but ultimately fall to Saint Peter's, 3-1.

The first set of the match was a back and forth affair until the Peacocks were able to string together a late run to come away with the opening set victory, however set two was the Highlanders time to shine.

The Highlanders showed resilience in a tightly contested second set, battling with the Peacocks every single point. The Highlanders showed their toughness and their grit to edge the Peacocks 32-30 in extra points to even the match at one set apiece.

Despite the momentum shift, NJIT struggled to find rhythm in the final two frames. As a team, NJIT out-dug Saint Peter's 79 to 76 but offensive efficiency proved to be the difference. The Highlanders hit .102 overall compared to the Peacocks' .201.

• Sophomore Finley McAndrew continues her strong play leading the team with 34 assists and 18 digs.
• Sophomore Emma Wild led the team with 15.0 points and 13 kills.
